Vehicle Recall Lookup
Find open safety recalls by make, model and year — free, from the U.S. NHTSA recalls database.
Free, from NHTSA. To confirm whether one specific vehicle’s recall is still unrepaired, use the VIN-level tool at NHTSA.gov.
Recalls vs. complaints — the difference
A recall is an official safety action issued by the manufacturer and tracked by NHTSA. A complaint is an unverified report filed by an owner. We only show official recall campaigns here, each with its NHTSA campaign number and a link to the source — we never present a complaint as a confirmed defect.
To confirm whether one specific vehicle has an unrepaired recall, use the VIN-level tool at NHTSA.gov/recalls. All recall data on this site is provided for informational purposes; verify current status with your dealer.
